End of the line for Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10

End of the line for Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10

End of Internet exlporer 8,9,10 support

Microsoft has officially announced that as of January 12th 2016 it will only offer support for the latest versions of Internet Explorer for each respective operating system.

As you may or may not know, we currently support Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for our Enterprise and Hosted solutions.  As a result of Microsoft planning to only support Internet Explorer 11 for these Operating Systems, many companies are now making the switch from Internet Explorer 9 to Internet Explorer 11.

You may be asking yourself “Well, how does this affect me?” That’s a good question! CompuCal like any piece of software, can only offer support for platforms that are still supported by their manufacturers. Therefore as of January 12th 2016 we will no longer be able to offer support for unsupported versions of Internet Explorer. We will neither be a able to support other alternatives including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. As Internet Explorer is currently the only officially supported browser, we want you to have the best experience and support when you take the plunge to Internet Explorer 11.

I would like to present to you, CompuCal v6.2.5.0, offering full-blown support for Microsoft’s latest browser, Internet Explorer 11.

With the latest release we have also included some great new features. These include the ability to Import Loops using our front-end interface and using our ERP Integration features. You can now also integrate with 3rd Party Services like Trackwise. We have also added some really helpful quality of life improvements.

Issue In Bulk Notification

Have you ever issued more than you can calibrate? Issue In Bulk is a great feature that allows you to issue multiple Routines at once. As it’s very important to issue the right Routines at the right time, we have included a friendly notification letting you know how many Routines you are about to issue. You also have the ability to cancel the process if you find that you are issuing more than you had planned.

Routine Graph Information

When the Work History Graph is viewed from the Routine Graph page, the Instrument Tag name and the Routine name are now displayed at the top of the graph. This change is only a visual addition of Instrument/Routine information included for clarity.

Master Calibration List Excel Report

The “Export to Excel” table button in the Instrument and Loop list pages have been updated to export the “Master Calibration List” to Excel. This report includes a lot of different fields so be sure to check out the User Guide for additional info.

KPI Filtering

We have updated the KPIs reporting to provide the ability to filter the results by Class, Area and Plant.

Total Number of Records in Reports

Each report in the Reports section of CompuCal now displays the number of records in the report.

By upgrading to this new release of CompuCal, you can ensure a hassle free transition when Internet Explorer 11 comes around.

If you would like to schedule your upgrade now, contact us by writing to support@compucalsolutions.com. We will be more than happy to help you. Our Support Team can assist with scheduling a suitable time for the upgrade.
